Overview
The Pride is a content platform by the Singapore Kindness Movement that publishes stories, opinion and video for a more gracious, compassionate Singapore. Nerb redesigned and rebuilt it in 2025, keeping an archive of more than 1,800 articles that goes back to 2016, and maintains it.
The challenge
The Singapore Kindness Movement wanted a new look and more engagement. Most readers arrived from social media to read one article and seldom explored further, and the old categories made the site feel messy. The brief asked to keep every existing article and video, sort out the categories, and add reader reactions and search.
Our approach
Structure. Six old categories (News, Feature, Opinion, Your Say, Videos and Picture This!) gave way to four: Culture, Spotlight, Opinion and Watch, with search in the header. A Parenting section followed in 2026.
Design. Nerb proposed the new design with its quote: a homepage that leads with the latest and featured articles, cleaner listing and article pages, and a simpler video listing. Each article ends with reactions, comments and related articles, to lead readers on to the next story.
Build. The site runs on WordPress with Elementor Pro, with custom fields for featured videos. Readers can react to an article, comment with emoji and share it to Facebook, X, Telegram or email.
Migration and running. The relaunched site went live in 2025, with the archive back to 2016 in place. Nerb has maintained it since 2025, and in 2026 cleared more than 4 GB of unused image files and added the Parenting section.
